Construction management software for the contractor, the PMC and the site
Construction management software is usually sold to the head office and never reaches the site. CivilOS is arranged the other way round: the programme, the checklists, the audits and the bill are in one browser platform that runs on the site engineer's phone as well as the planner's laptop, with a Free plan and nothing to install. It is written for Indian contractors, PMCs, builders and consultants — the schedule templates, the checklists and the bill format are the ones an Indian project actually uses.
What it manages is the work, not the company: the activities and their links, the quality of each one, the evidence from site, the quantities executed and the running bill they justify. Accounts, payroll and procurement stay in the systems built for them.

A programme the site can read
A CPM programme is only useful if the people executing it can see their part of it. The scheduler builds the network with the usual links and lag, works out the floats and the critical path, and keeps a baseline to compare progress against; the task desk then sends each activity to the engineer responsible with a code, and the engineer's report updates the programme. Thirty-one sector templates — buildings, roads, bridges, water supply, solar, metro and the rest — give a first draft in minutes.
Quality with evidence, not memory
The QA/QC module carries 211 inspection checklists across 25 sectors, from earthwork to green building, each written as the checks an inspector actually makes. A failed check opens a non-conformance in the NCR register with its photo and its close-out; the whole register prints on the firm's letterhead. On site the same checklists run in Live Site Audit, which works with no signal and stamps every photo with time and GPS. They are reference formats to adapt to the project's ITP, and they say so — not a compliance certificate.
The bill the quantities justify
The running account bill is produced from the same measured quantities the QS module recorded, with measured-to-date, previously paid and now payable columns and every deduction on its own line citing its authority. It is the government format, so the bill clerk recognises it; it is not a departmental system, so a licensed engineer still checks and signs it.

What CivilOS does not do
- No accounting, payroll or procurement. It prepares the documents those systems consume.
- No 4D or cost-loaded simulation. The programme and the bill are separate documents that share quantities.
- No resource-levelling engine of the Primavera type; resources are columns you fill, not a solver.
- No compliance standing. Checklists and audits are reference formats; the project ITP and the engineer's signature govern.
- No structural or MEP design.
Where a browser tool fits
Enterprise construction management systems earn their price on large programmes: resource levelling across projects, cost-loaded schedules, ERP integration, document control with approval workflows and vendor support. CivilOS does not replace those for the organisation that needs them.

What does the construction management software in CivilOS cover?

Does it work on a phone at site without signal?
Yes. Live Site Audit is built offline-first: open the checklist, take photos, record the GPS stamp and pass/fail results with no signal, and it syncs when the phone finds one. The QA/QC module and the scheduler run in the phone browser too.
Can I send work to engineers who do not have an account?
Yes. The task desk gives each activity a unique code and sends it by WhatsApp or e-mail; the engineer reports progress back against the code without creating an account.
Does it do 4D simulation, ERP or accounting?
No. The programme and the bill are separate documents that read the same quantities; there is no cost-loaded 4D model, no ledger, no payroll and no procurement. It prepares the documents an accounting or ERP system is fed with.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No installation: CivilOS opens in an ordinary browser on a laptop, tablet or phone and can be installed as an app from the sidebar. A free account is needed to open the engineering modules; it takes a minute and asks for no card.
Draft for checking. Every safety-critical output of CivilOS is a preparation document. Drawings, quantities, rates, programmes and inspections must be verified, and the result signed off, by a licensed professional before they are issued, tendered, built or paid against.
